Monster Hunter isn’t the only Capcom property with a new film in development and Mega Man is also lined up for an adaptation.

Capcom’s Blue Bomber has appeared previously on the small screen, starring in his own animated series back in 1994 and several game spin-offs have seen received anime adaptations.

He's never made the leap to the big screen but recent reports have confirmed this may soon change.

Film development began back in 2015 under 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment, with Ariel Schulman later confirmed to direct in 2017, but no announcements made about potential casting or premise.

Reports indicated a cancellation back in August 2019 when Disney acquired 21st Century Fox but Capcom later clarified in October that this was not the case.

Development appears to be progressing however and last month saw Mattsom Tomlin, co-writer of The Batman, join the project, so hopefully further news will soon follow.
