10 Video Game NPCs Whose Lives You RUINED
2. That One Villager - Animal Crossing
It's time to talk about the weirdest thing about Animal Crossing, that occurs in every single game. For a series that is supposed to be about chilling and vibing with your various eclectic villagers, a whole lot of people seem to be very excited to bully and just generally torment whichever of their townsfolk they don't like.
Trapping NPCs in their houses, making them fall into pitfalls, or just generally forcing them into situations more out of Saw than a cutesy town building game is a surprising norm.
While it's totally fair to want to encourage a villager you dislike to leave, there's a point at which you've become the villain in that quest, and it's the point at which you start trying to psychologically torment an anthropomorphic sheep.
Everybody has that one villager they'd do anything to get rid of if they end up in their town, but not everyone is willing to become a straight up Batman supervillain in order to exile them. Few people want to psychologically scar an imaginary animal - but when they do, there's little players won't stop at to get their way.
