10 Video Game Reboots You Didn't Know Were Happening
7. Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Kazooie fans have been not-so-patiently waiting for a new entry into the beloved platformer franchise since 2008's Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, and if the scuttlebutt can be believed, that agonising wait might soon be over.
Though Banjo developer Rare has publicly stated their preference to develop new IP rather than dust-off old franchises for another go-around, back in July VGC's reliable Andy Robinson revealed that Xbox Game Studios has taken pitches on a new Banjo game from a number of studios.
According to Robinson, the likes of Toys for Bob (Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time) and Moon Studios (Ori and the Will of the Wisps) have pitched Xbox on a Banjo reboot, with both developers apparently being very keen to produce a new entry.
It of course remains to be seen if the proposed Banjo reboot will actually come to fruition, but the fact that Xbox is actually taking pitches for the game at all is definitely encouraging. Here's hoping.
