3. Tail Weapons - Dark Souls
The Dark Souls series is the complete polar opposite to a hand holding title, favouring instead to cut off your arms and let you figure out how to survive while it walks away with your limbs. Therefore, it was down to the community to come together and help relay information about easily missed plotlines, characters, spells and of course weapons.

The problem is, is that there are quite a few monsters with what you might assume to be tails, which meant that players would often place themselves in harm's way just to net a free bit of gear, and if you were clumsy or inaccurate you could often down a boss before the tail was lopped off.
