10 Video Game Secrets You WERE Supposed To Find

1. Saints Row 2 - Giant Bunny Easter Egg

When a developer wants you to find an Easter egg in their game, they'll generally put it in plain sight for the gamer to find. to react to the moment they intended. Most are placed naturally in the world, rewarded to those who soak up the games atmosphere. In Saints Row 2's case, it'll instead have massive arrows literally leading you to the secret.

While the first arrow is slightly off shore, it ends up leading you on a literal Easter egg hunt as you follow each arrow like a pirate searching for buried treasure. Before Saints Row 3, the series was more grounded and sensible to a degree, but this was a teaser of how the franchise was to expand.

By following the arrows you'll finally be leaded to an open area of the ocean in which a giant purple bunny will rise from the depths. Most likely a reference to the Easter bunny, it places a literal sense on the term 'Easter egg'.

It's a stark contrast from many games that hide their secrets in many hard to reach places or behind elaborate sequences. Here, we simply follow the arrows, really adding to the idea of secrets you were meant to find.
