When a fourth Crash Bandicoot game was first announced, there was considerable skepticism of developer Toys for Bob's ability to deliver a sequel on-par with the original trilogy, especially given that the series had spent more than 20 years falling short of them.

But Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was an absolutely delightful platforming sequel which paid loving homage to its predecessors but also felt like a distinctly unique game in its own right, especially with the introduction of power-granting Quantum Masks.
