10 Video Game Sequels We’d Totally Get Stupidly Excited About
4. Spyro
Ever since the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was announced at E3, people have talked about Activision bringing back everyone’s favourite purple dragon. And, after seeing how faithful Vicarious Visions were with Sony’s most famous mascot, a return of Spyro has become a demand.
Fans want the original trilogy to be given the same facelift as Crash. They want to experience the same nostalgic rush whilst playing through remastered versions of Ripto’s Rage and Year Of The Dragon. Two brilliant sequels which, when reminiscing about, make Spyro’s plummet into mediocrity even more tragic.
With the N. Sane Trilogy beating Horizon: Zero Dawn in highest first-week single-platform sales for 2017, Activision would be foolish to not stay aboard the nostalgia bandwagon.
Therefore, due to Crash Bandicoot’s impressive sales and Vicarious Vision’s subtle hint to a potential Spyro remaster, a return to the Dragon Realms appears inevitable. An announcement at E3 2018 would have gamers roaring with approval, crying with happiness, and immediately selling themselves out by pre-ordering it.
