Though 2017's stealth survival horror game Hello Neighbor received wildly mixed reviews from critics upon release, player response has been decidedly more positive, enough that the game has generated a colossal media empire.

The release of two spin-offs, prequel Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek and multiplayer game Secret Neighbor, have allowed the franchise to score 30 million downloads across PC, consoles, and mobile devices, while a series of Hello Neighbor books have sold more than 2 million copies worldwide.

And so it's little surprise that Hello Neighbor 2 was announced last summer, promising a larger game world and more sophisticated A.I. systems.

Given the series' near-annual release output at this point, there's little reason to doubt the sequel will meet its planned 2021 bow.
