10 Video Game Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming In 2021

7. Oddworld: Soulstorm

Oddworld: Soulstorm is the follow-up to 2014's Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey remake New 'n' Tasty!, serving as a re-imagining of Abe's Odyssey's 1998 sequel Abe's Exoddus.

Announced back in 2016, Soulstorm has suffered through continuous delays over the years, from 2017 to 2019, 2020, and now 2021.

The delays may well be a result of "scope creep" given that the commercial success of New 'n' Tasty! allowed Soulstorm to receive a larger production budget, and gameplay videos make it clear that it is far more than the relatively straight-up remake that New 'n' Tasty was.

In 2020 it was confirmed that Soulstorm would release on PC, PS4, and PS5, with the release date later "confirmed" to be Spring 2021.

From what we've seen the game certainly looks in strong shape and is most likely in the polishing phases of production right now, so even with its history of shifting release dates, it'd be pretty shocking if Soulstorm wasn't in players' hands by December 31st.
