10 Video Game Series Netflix Must Adapt
1. Fallout
Fallout is a series of post-apocalyptic video games each
telling a unique story set in an alternative history in which the transistor
age never happened, resulting in a world filled with advanced technologies,
based on 1950’s era theory. Each story usually centers on a protagonist –
called the vault dweller – who emerges from an underground vault which was
built to protect the people who inhabit it from the nuclear war that occurred
over a century prior – turning America into a wasteland.
The vault dweller – gracing the surface for the first time in his/her life – has to learn to navigate the barren landscape between settlements, while surviving attacks from bandits, mutants, and irradiated animals – and nuking small villages if he/she sees fit. While each game followed a different plot and protagonist, each story involved a number of factions – most notably The Brotherhood of Steel & the New California Republic – who are fighting for control of the wasteland.
A Fallout TV show would most likely appeal to the fans of The Walking Dead as it addresses similar themes of communities conflicting or working together after society has fallen apart – all be it with a far more interesting lore to explore.
