10 Video Game Series Netflix Must Adapt
4. The Elder Scrolls
When Game of Thrones hangs up its shield in 2018, it will leave a void in the television space and the hearts of all the fans who have been tuning in and patiently waiting for winter to finally arrive. And the perfect TV show to fill it would be… well, The Witcher (it does contain sex, nudity and rude words after all) but at a close second is The Elder Scrolls.
The Elder Scrolls is a first person, high fantasy role playing series set in the land of Tamriel, a fictional continent – populated by many different races, including humans, dwarves, Orcs, elves, and even anthropomorphic lizards and cats – and comprising of enough exotic locations to rival even Westeros.
Although at face value The Elder Scrolls does not contain the same level of mature content which Game of Thrones fans are used to, the universe has had its fair share of political drama, bastard claims to the throne and a demonic race (The Daedra) who would give the White Walkers a run for their money! – oh, and did I mention there be dragons too? – but what sets it apart from GoT, is the emphasis on magic, which plays a much larger role in the Elder Scrolls universe and the storylines within it.
