However, the true hidden gem of this fever dream of a franchise is the 2012 spinoff about the series' antagonist, the pigs.
Yes, the titular Bad Piggies have their own spinoff, where instead of throwing a bunch of spherical birds at a random assessment of bricks and planks, you can use the aforementioned bricks and planks to build wacky structures that help you complete levels.
The system is surprisingly complex, especially when you consider the game is an offshoot of a series where the peak of all technology is a comically large slingshot. You can build vehicles, planes, and even makeshift robots to reach your goal. Basically, anything your imagination can come up with.
It's a really fun mobile game that completely strays away from the somewhat stale formula of the original series. Not to mention, the piggies are far more likable than their grumpy avian rivals.
