10 Video Game Signs You HAD To Ignore

1. Omochao - Sonic The Hedgehog Series (1991-)

If there was an award for the most annoying, persistent, obnoxious little crap in the world of personified game tutorials, then Omochao would have swept the ceremony for twenty-plus years in a row.

Though he debuted in Sonic Adventure, the clockwork Chao's first real appearance is in Sonic Adventure 2, where he serves as a kind of in-game guide. Bumping into him will send him buzzing around you, where he'll tell you about a certain game mechanic you more than likely already discovered yourself.

And while newcomers to the Sonic the Hedgehog series may benefit from Omochao's less-than-timely advice, it's his screechy voice, grating personality and CONSTANT pestering that will push even the most patient player's buttons.

Since SA2, Omochao has filled pretty much the same role, either holding up literal signs or bumbling around the stages as a kind of sign you can - god forbid - choose to interact with.

The upside in SA2 is that you can exact revenge on the infuriating pipsqueak by picking him up and throwing him off a bottomless pit, or by outright attacking him. He even has the gall to shout at you if you do this, as if he's got no idea everyone hates him so much!

If this is a game's idea of a tutorial, then I think I speak for everyone when I say we'd rather just figure it out on our own.
