10 Video Game Signs You HAD To Ignore
7. Djura's Warning - Bloodborne
FromSoftware's RPGs actively reward the attentive, so perhaps in the case of Bloodborne, you gave a little more thought to the mysterious message waiting for you on the doors to Old Yharnam.
If you've done your reading at this point, you'll have learned that Old Yharnam was burned to the ground to prevent the spread of the 'Ashen Blood' ailment, later known as the beast scourge.
In its current state, it is abandoned and left in ruin, meant to be forgotten by the residents of the Cathedral Ward.
The message has been left by Djura, a retired beast hunter, and reads, "This town is long abandoned. Hunters not welcome here."
Djura takes pity on the beasts, and has made it his life's purpose to defend those in Old Yharnam from being cut down by the current members of the hunt.
Of course, when has "don't come in" every really meant "don't come in" in a video game? You may take Djura's advice and choose to leave the place well enough alone...but I'm very much betting you didn't.
After all, a hunter must hunt.
