9. Great Dane - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty

Thanks to Bluepoint we have one of the best looking games on the PlayStation 5 right now, with Demon’s Souls, and there is a somewhat reasonable way to play the classic Metal Gear Solid games on current hardware.

PlayStation Now isn’t the best solution, but the remasters are up there to play with full trophy support at least. So what does this mean? Well, die-hard fans are going to chase their dreams and Platinum some of the most influential titles in turn of the century gaming. Though for some reason, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty trophy list seems designed to cause a lot of players pain.

Which is strange, because The Pain doesn’t come into the series until the third instalment and the Snake Eater Platinum only requires a single playthrough. MGS2 however, that will require a minimum of five and set most back 80 hours.

Thanks to the Great Dane trophy we must collect all dog tags in the Plant chapter. That means almost every guard on difficulties from Very Easy to Extreme has to be held up to surrender their tag.

There is no easy way around this and it will be a slog. The real kicker here is that the challenge only gets harder as the player progress.
