10 Video Game TV Shows HBO Should Make After The Last Of Us

6. Fallout

Red Dead Redemption
Bethesda

Out of all the Bethesda franchises out there, Fallout seems like it has been mistreated the most. Whereas the games' plots and characters are hit and miss, its universe seems perfectly suited to an engrossing post-apocalyptic series. The sheer amount of untold potential stories in the Fallout universe that deserve to be uncovered warrants an adaptation.

A vital component of crafting post-apocalyptic stories is that the intent behind them should always be distinct. Fallout could provide a unique post-Doomsday series where you could have any range of weird experiences and plotlines. You're a vault-dweller emerging into a world that was destroyed long ago, and what happens next is unclear. Something tragic, something terrifying, or even a story that's a little humorous, anything's possible with this particular universe.

Fallout's broad ambiguity, if utilized properly, would allow each episode to be about anything. HBO could see what AMC has accomplished with The Walking Dead, and go that extra mile to heighten the prestige of the project.

After all, Fallout isn't just about humans surviving, it's also about them fending off the monsters and evil THEY created through their nuclear attacks. Fallout with HBO backing it would allow the project to ride off of that high the initial seasons of Walking Dead had (with a reliable viewer base week-to-week).
