10 Video Game Villains That Made The Biggest Impact In The Smallest Time

4. Bowser - Super Mario Bros.

Bowser 1 4

Time On Screen: Approx 2 mins

He might be gaming legend, but you only fight Bowser for a collective time of less than 10 minutes, and each fight only takes seconds to overcome.

Why? Because before Bowser was a fireball-throwing, Mario-taunting a-hole, he was a slightly larger sprite hanging out in one of eight castles across the first game.

Get to the end of each one and he's waiting on the final draw bridge, in prime position to be dunked into the lava below.

To do so you only need to hit the lever behind him, and nine times out of ten, you're already moving at such a pace, you preternaturally leap right over him and finish the level all in one go.

Still, something about Bowser's giant-turtle-mixed-with-Godzilla look stuck, and he's become Mario's main adversary for the rest of time.
