Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee tells a rather harrowing story of how Abe, the chosen hero of Mudokons, frees his people from corporate slavery before they can be turned into meat popsicles for sale.
The living conditions and abuse that Abe and other Mudokons face are a grisly contrast to the cartoonist aesthetic of the game, and it makes you think that whoever is responsible for treating them like this is a truly callous and terrifying monster.
However, although they are certainly cruel, the Glukkons running the Mudokons' slave factories are more hilarious than intimidating.
Despite being the owners of a huge slave cartel, the mollusc aliens known as Glukkons act like comic relief every time they're on screen.
Not only is their fashion choice hilarious, being a tight suit that causes them to waddle like penguins, but their personalities are also comically exaggerated to make them act like a capitalist caricature on steroids.
They're vain, greedy, paranoid, and too lazy to do anything themselves. In fact, all of these traits eventually cause them to turn on each other, and most of them die due to their own schemes before Abe can even get the chance to meet them.
Well, no one can say they didn't deserve it.
