10 Video Game Villains Who SUCK At Being Evil
2. Professor Nakayama - Borderlands 2
The Borderlands series is well-known for its over-the-top boss introduction that presents them with flashy title cards matching the intensity of your incoming fight with them.
You're used to the title cards being an indicator of an action-packed rivalry, but in the case of Professor Nakayama, the only epic thing that follows after is the epic proportion of his catastrophic blunder.
Unlike the other villains who put up a fight, the main antagonist of Borderlands 2 's DLC, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, goes down swinging… his broken spine down the staircase…
Shortly after his Borderlands-style introduction as he comes out of his hiding spot, the Professor prepares to make a grand speech about how he can use his intellect to defeat the Vault Hunters, only to then immediately trip and fall down the steps in front of him, straight into his humiliating and painful death.
His lackluster attempt at villainy is an absolutely hilarious subversion of Borderlands' classic trope that makes you realize it takes more than a title card to be a threat.
Sorry, Professor, but you're a long way from becoming the next Handsome Jack.
