10 Video Games In 2021 Everyone Regretted Buying
1. Aliens: Fireteam Elite
The Alien franchise's video game output has been totally all over the map - for every brilliant experience like Alien: Isolation there's a trash-fire like Aliens: Colonial Marines.
And then there are titles like Aliens: Fireteam Elite, which basically split the difference and offer up an exercise in total beige, whatever mediocrity.
While Fireteam Elite gets a certain amount of credit for capturing the look and feel of the franchise, it's also a totally generic squad-based shooter that never aspires to be anything other than dead basic.
Stood next to Colonial Marines it's a competent title albeit one that desperately wants for imagination - take away the familiar aesthetics and you have a relatively hollow, easily forgotten shooter that can't even sustain full interest across its five-or-so-hour campaign.
Even though the game retailed for a lower AA price tag, it still wasn't low enough to justify gameplay that quickly becomes dull and a story you won't give a fig about.
Considering that the PC player count quickly fell off a cliff, the best fate this game can hope for is to join Xbox Game Pass in the near-future, which really feels like the best venue for it.
