10 Video Games That Butchered Brilliant Endings
4. Fallout: New Vegas
Fallout: New Vegas's ending was ruined by one thing. After fighting through the various factions, battling across Hoover Dam, and staking your claim for the Mojave, the game just... ended, pulling the same trick as Fallout 3. It played a slide-show and recapped your adventures before finishing, blocking the player off returning to the game world.
It was so disappointing that Obsidian followed the same trend that Bethesda set - and backed down on. Not being able to explore the world after the events of the Hoover Dam was a poor decision, because unlike Fallout 3, this battle had a massive impact.
Whoever won the battle would shape the Mojave, but we never got to see that. We never get to see anything that happens after the battle. It is made out to be one of the most important moments in the franchise, but we never see get to experience that in the slightest.
