10 Video Games That Could Be 2019’s Game Of The Year
5. Ghost Of Tsushima
Hot off a stellar year in 2018, PlayStation has another amazing exclusive lined up for 2019 in Ghost of Tsushima. It’s an open world, action RPG that puts you in the shoes (sandals?) of a 13th Century samurai on the Japanese island of Tsushima, and the reveal trailer last year was outstanding.
Game Director Nate Fox has spoken about the differences between Ghost and Sucker Punch's last series, Infamous, though, claiming it is a marked change. inFamous never fully achieved its potential, so that’s no bad thing.
You play as one of the last surviving samurai, (thankfully not Tom Cruise), recruiting other skilled warriors to your cause. Evident from the gameplay released so far, there's a big focus on stealth and counter attacks, to try and make gameplay as close to the samurai experience as possible.
Whether it will arrive in 2019 at all is a mystery, though. However, if everything falls into place in the next 12 months, expect this to be a contender.
