10 Video Games That Could Secretly Dominate 2019

2. Control

RAGE 2
Remedy

Details on Remedy's newest foray into the time-bending action genre, Control, are fairly scarce. Outside of a few gameplay videos and a handful of trailers, the paranormal world of this beautifully bizarre game has been left as something of a mystery, but if the footage available is anything to go by, it's going to be something truly special.

Following a secret agent of a paranormal investigation bureau, the game takes place in an agency headquarters invaded by a supernatural enemy known as the Hiss. From here, players gain access to telekineses, mind control, levitation and other crazy paranormal abilities, as they explore the halls of the agency and uncover the strange goings on of the building.

It looks to be a completely unique and hauntingly creepy adventure that combines the slick shooting of Max Payne, the creepy, atmospheric charm of Alan Wake and the mind-bending combat of Quantum Break, giving this the potential to be the game that puts Remedy back on the map.

With this in mind, Control looks like a promising candidate to be one of 2019's most daring, interesting and, above all else, surprising hits when it launches later this year. Let's just hope it doesn't try to incorporate a TV show into it this time...
