10 Video Games That Could Secretly Dominate 2019
1. Days Gone
Yes, Days Gone is ANOTHER zombie game, but despite SIE Bend Studio exploring an admittedly oversaturated genre, there's still a lot of promise behind this post-apocalyptic title. The press who've played it have sung its praises and the gameplay released has shown a dynamic, challenging and deep zombie RPG that's got a hefty chance of really surprising its naysayers.
From the intriguing story and incredible visuals to the detailed focus on motorbike traversal and zombie hordes, Days Gone looks to not just exist as another example of the genre but to thrive as a glowing example of the best the genre can possibly be.
Despite its position as the runt of the PlayStation 4 exclusive line-up, it shouldn't be counted out just yet. Sony and its superb selection of first-party developers have been putting out absolutely brilliant titles for the last few years and if the likes of God Of War, Spider-Man and Horizon: Zero have taught us anything, their single-player content is the best of the bunch.
Days Gone has a lot to prove when it launches in just under a month's time, but perhaps it'll be bigger and better than The Last Of Us: Part II placeholder some people are predicting to be.
