10 Video Games That Didn't Know When To End

3. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

009 Right from its generic RPG title through to the gameplay itself, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was one of the most disappointing games I played last year, making it plainly clear to anyone who began to play it that, indeed, it did begin life as an MMO, because this bascally plays out like a neutered, dull version of World of Warcraft minus the fun social aspect. Though things like terrible voice acting and sub-par graphics did little to perk me up, it's another case of an RPG that can't take the streamlined approach to narrative and instead pads itself out to try and give players the 30+ hour experience they think we expect from a game like this. The endless fetch quests might actually be a cure for insomnia; I was so fed up of this game with just a few hours played. It's frustrating because the combat system is actually pretty good, but it's put to use in a collection of lame, uninspired quests that have been done better before in countless games.
