10 Video Games That Just Got Delayed
7. Fate/Extra Record
Fate/Extra Record is a much anticipated remake of 2010's cult classic dungeon-crawler RPG Fate/Extra, and will see it finally available on modern gaming systems, liberated from the PlayStation Portable to which it was originally an exclusive.
The remake was first announced in 2020 and set for a non-specific 2025 release, but at the end of July developer Type-Moon Studio BB announced that it was now being pushed all the way back to spring 2026.
Studio lead Kazuya Nino was at least incredibly upfront about the reason for the delay, confirming that he underestimated the amount of time needed to develop a game with full voice acting - a first for him.
Nino added that he feels the remake is "more immersive and gratifying," but kindly asks fans to patiently wait a little while longer for the remake to reach its full potential.
You can't really ask for clearer communication than that where a game delay is concerned.
