10 Video Games That Just Got Delayed
6. Fairgames
Sony's new live service heist shooter Fairgames - or Fairgame$, if you can stomach that - was announced at a PlayStation Showcase in May 2023, and well over two years later we still haven't seen a single frame of actual in-engine gameplay.
Though set to release in late 2025, earlier in the year insider reports started doing the rounds that the game had in fact slipped to 2026.
This was backed up by Bloomberg in May, who not only confirmed that Fairgames would be missing 2025 entirely, but that Jade Raymond - the head of Fairgames developer Haven Studio - quit the company several weeks after a playtest for the game didn't go well.
Given Sony's struggles to launch live service games in recent years - most notably Concord's failure and the controversy-magnet that is Marathon - would it honestly surprise anyone if Fairgames was just cancelled outright at this point?
As ever, we'll just have to wait and see.
