10 Video Games That Made You PAY EXTRA For The Ending
1. Kingdom Hearts 3
Kingdom Hearts 3, the latest installment of the beloved mixture of Disney and Square-Enix properties, began development in 2005, shortly after the release of the second game in the series. KH3 finally came out in 2019. Needless to say, there was plenty of time to get the story finalized, you would think.
Well then, you've never tried to figure out the story of a Kingdom Hearts game, have you? That stuff is just absolutely bonkers and none of it makes any sense. The game's still fairly new so we'll go light on the spoilers, but in the end Sora creates a happy ending and then fades away with a prophesy of a climactic battle.
But for $30, which in some cases is more than the price of the original game, you can get the Re Mind DLC. Re Mind takes place both during the ending of the game and after as everyone is trying to find Sora, after his disappearance. In the end Sora has a final battle with Yozora, a side character met earlier in the game. If you lose Yozora essentially crystallizes Sora and takes his place, but if you win, Yozora fades away and Sora returns.
Either way the game is summarized by Yozora and Sora's final words, "None of this makes any sense to me."
