10 Video Games That Made You PAY EXTRA For The Ending

2. Dead Rising 4

Kingdom hearts 3
Capcom

Dead Rising 4 sees Frank West returning to cover a lot more than just wars - he is now a college professor who gets caught up in a new zombie infestation story. Franks learns that Barnaby, the scientist from the first game who originally created the wasp-born virus, was working on creating a type of sentient zombie that could be used for slave labor. This latest outbreak is ultimately a continuation of that goal by his old cronies.

In the end Frank defeats a psychotic super-soldier zombie, reunites with his friends, and escapes via helicopter. Except that he doesn't - Frank gets caught up by zombies and sacrifices himself so the chopper can leave, safely. The end is left less-than-ambiguous and Frank is eaten by zombies.

With a title as perfect as Frank Rising, you know what happens in the DLC - Frank rises from his grave as a zombie and is eventually captured and turned into a sentient zombie, himself. He must ultimately acquire super-zombie abilities by capturing special wasps, all the while helping a scientist gather materials for an experiment to restore his humanity. In the end Frank, if played well, is saved and becomes a star author - but only if you paid for the DLC.
