If you weren't a kid during the 90s, let us tell you right now - you missed out on an amazing time.

Back in the day, there was absolutely nothing cooler than Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, which was not only an excellent video game, but became a way of life for many, many youngsters across the globe as they hopped on skateboards of their own with grand ambitions to do the 900 and instead managed to achieve a kickflip and a popshuvit (it's still something, right?).

As such, the Tony Hawk series holds a special place in the hearts of many people. Although the series gradually declined in quality and oversaturated the market, there was still some excitement to be had as an official sequel - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 - was announced for release in 2015.

We should not have been excited. Developed in too small a timeframe by Robomodo, the game is absolutely shockingly bad. It's full of bugs, the controls are terrible and graphically it was a complete embarrassment.

Basically think of everything you loved about the Tony Hawk series, and imagine that this game backed up to that pile of things you loved and tipped a load of excrement on top of it.
