10 Video Games That Make You A Better Gamer

Battle Royale games have taken the gaming world by storm, and Fortnite played no small part in it. Not only does Fortnite challenge the regular format by being a third-person shooter rather than a first-person shooter, but it also has a constantly evolving player base.

The key reason that it's gotten more and more difficult over the years for casual Fortnite players to achieve that sought-after Victory Royale is that players have become better at the game, as the skill-cap is practically infinite. Not only does it prioritise resource management much more than the average shooter, but it uses those resources in fast-paced build fights where reaction time and mechanical skill are the difference between winning and losing.

Unlike games like Overwatch where when you die, you simply respawn and can rush in again, Fortnite punishes its players for the smallest mistake. If there's one way to make players better at aiming and shooting, it's making them die and have to join a new game for missing a single shot. Fortnite throws players in at the deep end which is the primary reason its player base is constantly improving - you either hit your shot or you're out of the game almost instantly.
