10 Video Games That MUST Influence EA's Star Wars
1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Its easy to say, “Make it like the Witcher 3”, but actually doing it is very difficult.
The Witcher 3 offers multiple side quests, vast landscapes to explore, hordes of monsters to fight, a rich and diverse array of characters, ample amounts of customisation and, of course, a healthy selection of Witcher contracts to take on. Trying to emulate one of the greatest games of the past decade will be a massive undertaking. And EA have proven that they are not the most patient when it comes to game development, as BioWare will be quick to attest.
However, if there is any franchise that could offer the best possible chance to rival The Witcher series and its success, it would be Star Wars.
If EA gave a development team the time and resources to make the most out of an open world Star Wars game, then we could truly have something special on our hands. Maybe they could strike the iron while it’s hot, and base the game on a Mandalorian. It would not be too far a departure from the Witcher structure.
Hunting down bounties. Exploring interesting planets and locations. Meeting interesting characters.
The force could be VERY strong with this one.....
