10 Video Games That Prove The PS Vita Is Infinitely Better Than You Think

1. Persona 4 Golden

Forget about the Playstation Vita for a moment, Persona 4 Golden is one of the best games ever made, across any and all consoles. The word ‘epic’ is often thrown around when describing long, fantastical JRPGs, but Persona 4 is rather the antithesis of that.

It’s a story about friendship, coming of age and a murder mystery that’s getting a bit out of hand. There are bright colours, wacky characters and a parallel dimension inside a TV, for sure, but the game tends to stay grounded in moderate realism for a good majority of its lengthy run-time.

You end up worrying less about giant evil beasts attacking and more about who to invite for lunch, which is a genuine breath of fresh air for a genre that often takes itself very seriously. Even the setting for the game is ‘normal’. You spend your time in a small rural town, with nothing strange about it. No encroaching darkness, no extraterrestrial creatures, just a few kids and a string of supernatural murders.
