10 Video Games That Punished You For Being A Thief

3. Steal A Carton Of Milk & Get Shot At - Postal 2

The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening
Running With Scissors

From top to bottom, the Postal games and every character residing within them are absolutely mental, but early in the second game players learn just how trigger-happy the citizens of Paradise truly are.

In the first chapter, you're tasked with picking up a carton of goat milk from the Lucky Ganesh store, with players given the choice of either queuing up like everybody else, enduring the obnoxious customers, and paying their $5, or just attempting a five-finger discount.

$5 is a hell of a lot for a carton of milk, especially in 2003, after all.

Deciding to steal the milk will result in the store's shutter slamming down and the owner, Habib, coming after you with an automatic rifle.

He can make short work of you if you're not equipped for the situation, but of course, there are myriad grotesque ways to put Habib down for the count and make off with the white stuff for free.

Even with Postal being Postal, that's quite the excess reaction for nabbing some milk.
