The game has a special "punishment" in store for inquisitive thieves who decide to tinker around with their lockpick while their lockpicking skills are still underdeveloped.

Try and use the lockpick to pick your nose while at a sufficiently low level and you'll end up giving yourself a cerebral hemorrhage, inadvertently killing yourself in the process.

Hilariously, the message from the surgeon general informing the player of their misadventure also sarcastically adds, "Guess you should have been practising on less difficult locks."

In the event you are indeed a skilled enough lockpicker, you'll bizarrely be told that your nose is now "open," whatever that means.
