In Vampire: The Masquerade—Bloodlines, you play as a cursed creature of the night trying to uphold the rules that allow the vampire society to remain a secret to mortals.

You’re obviously not a good guy to begin with, but if you ever needed a reminder that a good vampire is a bad vampire, the game offers special rewards for acting like a complete self-absorbed sadist.

There are plenty of examples of when being a jerk proves more beneficial in the game, but the best one is the mission with a flesh-devouring Nagaraja named Pisha.

Pisha is a vampire archeologist who offers your character a powerful artifact in exchange for bringing her the man who accidentally spotted her eating one of her previous victims. It’s obvious the man will be eaten next, but if you don’t really care about it, Pisha will reward your callousness with a really handy blood-storing chalice and offer to give you even more artifacts if you continue working with her in the future.

Meanwhile, if you let her victim live, not only does Prisha completely ignore you, but you also compromise the Masquerade and risk being hunted down.
