10 Video Games That Reward You For LYING
You haven't played Baldur's Gate 3 until you've convinced the devil to kill himself!

Every parent tries to teach their child that lying is wrong. However, while it is certainly unethical in real life, in the virtual space of video games, you don't have to worry too much about the consequences of your actions, so you can lie until your heart's content and reap all the benefits of bending the truth to your will.
In fact, sometimes games want you to lie!
In opposition to what we all have been taught as children, there are plenty of video games that not only allow you to lie to their NPCs but also yield incredible rewards for it, without any consequences whatsoever.
Lying might get you a rare item, powerful new allies, or it can even save an important character! The best part about it is that no matter how much you gaslight people and how big and bloated your false promises are, you're never going to be punished by them but rather showered with benefits!
You shouldn't really expect real-life lies to last, but when it comes to the following titles, deception is your best option. It can only change your life for the better, provided you can pull it off.
10. A Little Triple Espionage - Starfield

The Crimson Fleet is a joinable pirate faction from Starfield. Its unique quest line is considered to be one of the most fun and lucrative mission chains in the game, and that's mostly because it involves a lot of lying.
Enough to fool two different factions, in fact.
One of the ways your character can join the Fleet's ranks is by being sent to them as an undercover operative by the UC System Defense.
The mission normally involves infiltrating the pirate gang to help destroy it from the inside, but you can also choose to come clean with your new pirate buddies. This will allow you to be their double agent as you pretend to be the double agent for SysDef.
And that's when the spy-ception begins!
Playing both sides like this does not only make for a really fun storyline with plenty of twists and turns, but it will also allow you to maximize your rewards within both factions as they employ your services and generously pay for them.
You'll have to decide which faction you ultimately support in the final mission, of course, but until then you can enjoy and abuse the benefits of being a triple agent as much as you like!
