10 Video Games That Start Hard But Get A Lot Easier Later On

3. The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past

Almost any Zelda game could feature on this list, as they all start off with a very weak version of Link who gradually grows in strength and acquires new weapons, tools, and skills over the course of his adventure.

A Link To The Past is the perfect example.

At the start of this game, Link only has three hearts of health and most enemy attacks will take off an entire heart, meaning you're always only a few hits away from death. It could be quite tricky to successfully navigate the first dungeon, avoiding traps and defeating enemies while keeping your hearts intact.

Luckily, the developers took mercy on players by not including a boss fight in the first dungeon. Then, as the game continues, you find plenty of heart containers to expand your health bar, as well as acquiring additional swords, shields, and special items to make boss fights and dungeons a lot easier.
