7. XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Ironman)

Similar to Darkest Dungeon, XCOM sees you recruit, train, and deploy troops of varying skillsets, but this time in an attempt to protect Earth from an alien invasion. These games are so nailbitingly tense due to their turn-based strategy gameplay. XCOM takes this even further with Ironman mode, which limits the player to just one save file.
