6. FTL: Faster Than Light

Here we have the space-based RTS roguelike, Faster Than Light.

Similar to XCOM, decisions can cost you dearly, and when your ship is destroyed, your save file is deleted and you are forced to replay from the very beginning. The truly frustrating part is the random events that occur every time you jump through space into another system. These can be anything from a fierce space battle, to a chat with the local inhabitants, to flying headfirst into an asteroid field.
