10 Video Games You Didn't Know JUST Got Delisted
2. Anthem
It honestly might surprise you that EA's failed multiplayer shooter Anthem was actually still playable at all, but that's soon enough going to change.
Mere weeks ago, EA removed the divisive action-RPG for sale from storefronts, while announcing that it will also be delisted from the company's EA Play subscription service on August 15.
Anthem will remain playable to those who own it until January 12, 2026, when the servers will be turned off, shutting the always-online game down for good in the process.
While the game's hardcore fans would certainly like EA to release an offline patch to keep it playable as a single-player experience, that sadly doesn't seem terribly likely, especially as Anthem has effectively been in maintenance mode since 2021 following its commercial failure.
The fact that EA have kept the servers alive for almost seven years after the game's calamitous launch is a shock, though it's a damn shame that Anthem's lush world and solid gameplay fundamentals are about to go away forever.
