10 Videos Games That Totally Trolled Players

3. Penn & Teller's Smoke And Mirrors - Desert Bus

Sadly, this game was never released officially, at least as originally intended. Comedy magicians Penn & Teller had released a videotape titled "Cruel Tricks for Dear Friends" where the idea was that you would pretend segments on the tape were live TV as part of, well, cruel tricks on your dear friends.

Smoke and Mirrors was designed to be the video game equivalent. The most infamous "game" included was to be Desert Bus. It was an eight hour bus ride that took place in real time and required the player's involvement to keep the bus from veering off the road. Nobody is on the bus, and there's nothing entertaining going on. Complete the trip, and you get one point. You then have a few seconds to determine if you want to do a return trip or else get a "game over."

While review copies went out and the game was indeed reviewed in various magazines, the publisher went out of business right before release. Desert Bys didn't officially see the light of day until a 2013 release for Android and iOS used to benefit Child's Play, a charity devoted to donating toys and games to hospitals.
