Fans seem to eager to see Doctor Doom in just about any form of Marvel media these days. With Disney's acquisition of Fox fans were excited about the X-Men and Fantastic Four joining the MCU, but most fans were most looking forward to the possibility of Doctor Doom being the next big bad on the big screen.

This excitement carries over to the game as well. Doctor Doom really does feel like he would a perfect fit to face off against the team we've assembled in Marvel's Avengers.

Introducing Doctor Doom also means you can add the location of Latveria and the signature Doom Bots, adding even more content to the game. A boss battle against Doom also has many possibilities. Some versions of the character rely purely on Doom's intellect and own gadgets, whereas other versions see Doom actually posses magical powers due to his sorcerer background. A mixture of both would test all The Avengers, making him the ultimate villain, and may yet provide the perfect excuse to introduce Doctor Strange opposite him as well.

As things currently stand there's no confirmation that Doctor Doom will join Marvel's Avengers, but here's hoping Crystal Dynamics choose to add him all the same.
