10 Ways Call Of Duty Blackout Is Better Than Fortnite
4. The Best Map In The Genre
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was the first to the party, and for that it will always receive props. However, its maps have left a lot to be desired.
While the dull graphics are boring to begin with, PUBG's maps just lack diversity in every way. Fortnite already had its more unique visual style when it decided to adopt the battle royale mode, and its map was far more interesting than that of its competitor.
That said though, Black Ops IIII's Blackout map is, by far, the most diverse we've seen in the genre. As you can see from the image, there are 11 specific locations on the map, from the iconic Nuketown to the imposing Hydro Dam. Each of these locations offer incredible variation and scale; Nuketown presents something akin to Fortnite's Pleasant Park, while the other locales include a construction site, huge buildings with detailed interiors, a dank asylum and some massive ships.
There's so much more to see and do in the Blackout map; it's comparable to 11 different Call of Duty maps smushed together, yet it works supremely well.
When Black Ops IIII releases on October 12, it will immediately have the best map in the battle royale world.
