10 Ways Red Dead Redemption 2 Can Build On GTA V's Best Features
8. Heists
The Heists in GTA V's single and multiplayer modes provide some of the game's finest moments. First realised in Grand Theft Auto IV's excellent 'Three Leaf Clover' mission, Rockstar have been playing around with this concept for a while now, and have proved that they understand how to make Heist gameplay fun and rewarding.
The Western setting of Red Dead Redemption 2 leads naturally to the existence of heists. The tenuous atmosphere of the American frontier is synonymous with train robberies, mine heists and raids for physical resources unlike the easily transported cash in the Grand Theft Auto series.
It would be interesting to see Rockstar build on this with even more explosive set pieces like derailing trains for their loot, transporting heavy gold bullion's in rickety carts, and even breaking into fortified locations to kidnap targets.
The marketing focus on a group of seven could also mean an expanded version than the system seen in GTA Online, with more than four playable characters attempting to execute a heist.
