10 Ways Red Dead Redemption 2 Can Build On GTA V's Best Features
9. GTA Online's Clans & Biker DLC Ranks
Red Dead Redemption's online mode was a triumph, but now pales in comparison to Rockstar's latest multiplayer iteration. The original gave us the full map to roam freely with a few gang hideouts and basic multiplayer modes to play with, but not much more.
It would be excellent to see a fleshed out posse system akin to GTA Online's biker gangs, with an upgradable western fort or living settlement for your team to return to, in order to stock up between hunts and raids.
Instead of making it so that progress is wiped every time you leave the server, it would be nice to have a level of permanence and progression in your online posse, like the Clan system in GTA Online.
The Bikers DLC in GTA Online allowed players to assign certain ranks in your clubhouse, which would transfer easily into sheriffs and deputies in a Western environment. Even the 'riding in formation' system could be transported to Red Dead Redemption 2 for travelling on horseback in a group.
