Most Rockstar games have a unique approach to humour that sets them apart from the rest. Their commitment to jokes has shown true in Grand Theft Auto V's lampooning of modern society, but there were also some subtle moments in Red Dead Redemption that moved away from the more serious tone of the game's story.

Beyond the dialogue, there are a few great examples including a nun that will run through the desert to present you a blessed cross if you keep your honour high. There's also the 'Death' horse in Undead Nightmare that explodes zombie heads on contact, and of course, hunting and meeting Rockstar favourite Bigfoot out in the deep forest of the American Frontier.

Red Dead Redemption 2 could easily build on that depending on its time frame. The game is most likely a prequel, as the first game ended in 1914 during the death of the Old West and the start of World War 1. It would be nice to see Rockstar go further back in time to the peak of the era and bring some of their famous humour with them.

With the wealth of historic periods covered in their back catalogue, I'm sure Rockstar won't struggle to make Red Dead Redemption 2 as hilarious as the rest.
