10 Ways To Make 2017 A Great Year For Video Games

3. An Elder Scrolls VI Announcement

The Elder Scrolls Skyrim Dragonborn
Bethesda

Sure, we've all been playing Fallout 4 and the newly remastered Skyrim, but the question that most gamers are wondering is "What's next?" I assume there is more Fallout DLC coming, but that doesn't necessarily feel all that important when it's the third or fourth DLC for the game.

Something original would be great from the company, but I wouldn't necessarily hold my breath on it. So that leaves us with only one more option:

We return to Elder Scrolls.

Ever since Skyrim came out in 2011 (wow...), I've been wondering where the series is going to go from there. The world of Elder Scrolls is so open and vast that they can take wherever the new game into a million different directions.

Note: As a suggestion, how about playing Elder Scrolls as an outright villain, not some hero chosen to save the day? We've all been the hero, so why not flip the narrative on its head, and go from there?

Either way, Elder Scrolls world is ready for all sorts of new stories, and we're all ready for more all-nighters in the pursuit of Daedric armour, too.
