4. Resurfacing Of Old Franchises
So I've recently been playing Steep, the new extreme winter sports game from Ubisoft, and having a fun time doing so. However, in the back of my mind, all I could think about is that "I wish this was SSX."
That got me snowballing and digging into the crates to find more franchises that I wished we had more of. Perhaps you're not an NBA 2K fan for example, but I guarantee you loved NBA Street. And for wrestling/hip-hop fans, it's been far too long since we had a new Def Jam.
We are in the middle of a new console generation, and that means that we can go back and revisit some old, favorite franchises and remake them from the ground up one more time. Burnout at 60fps would look fantastic, as would a new Timesplitters.
Those, plus all of EA Sports Big would be a welcome addition to the market right now - like a welcome breath of fresh air to a market focused on sequels.
