10 Wonders Of The World You Can Explore In Video Games

6. The Great Wall Of China - Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

Assassin's Creed origins
Activision

The third game in the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy, Warped asks the question: Is Crash's universe set in our own real world?

Am I reading too deep into a franchise about anthropomorphic bandicoots in jeans? Most likely.

My main point is that this game sees Crash travel through time in order to stop the evil Dr Cortex and the dark mask Uka Uka from taking over the world. You don't visit many landmarks in the traditional sense, but one of the more famous ones is the Great Wall Of China.

As Crash's sister, Coco, you ride Pura the tiger along the Wall during the time of its construction. This looks like the Southern Jinshangling section of the Wall, which would put the time period around 1570 CE. All the while you'll be avoiding Cortex's henchmen, construction equipment and dragons.

Being a Wall, the options for exploring are limited when it comes to gaming. So what better way to see an iconic piece of architecture than by riding your own tiger and seeing some stunning scenery along the way?

The N. Sane Trilogy version of this really filled out some gorgeous background details.
